Rapper, Yung6ix who is currently in Los angeles, US has taken it upon himself to lead Nigerians during a peaceful protest against police brutality.
The rapper and a few other Nigerians took to the streets of l. a. on Friday October 9, to protest against police brutality and demanded the disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in the country.

Drake joins the #EndSARS campaign

The rapper, who was joined by a couple of friends for the peaceful demonstration promised to lead another protest next week if the situation in the country doesn’t change.

Taking to his Intagram page the rapper wrote;

Took to the streets of los angeles yesterday, if the situation doesn’t Change we will march the streets of los angeles again next week. We must be a part of the change we wish to see in our economy #endsars #stoppolicebrutality #blm 🇳🇬

Mothers Protesting #EndSARS

Nigerian mothers have set out in their numbers, to join the protest against the perpetual killings and brutality of youths by SARS officials.

The women who carried different placards yesterday speaking against the abuse of power by the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) unit of the Nigerian Police, pleaded with the government to scrap the unit to safeguard their children.

In their words,

stop killing them, stop killing our children, they are the future of tomorrow”.

Recall that music stars, Runtown and Falz, two days ago, October 8th, led a peaceful protest against the infamous division of the Nigerian police force, SARS.

The two singers, alongside other Nigerians and popular influencers convened at the Lekki toll gate, with banners having inscriptions that speaks against SARS officials.

Nigerian Actor and politician, Desmond Elliot, has backed the call for the disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad(SARS).

The member representing Surulere Constituency in the Lagos State House of Assembly, while addressing #EndSARS protesters at the Lagos Assembly complex in Ikeja the Lagos state capital today October 9, Elliott believes that the brutality by some members of the Special Anti-Robbery (SARS) unit has gone beyond releasing hotlines for their activities to be reported or for a reform to be meted out.

As scheduled, Nigerian top music acts, Runtown and Falz have begun their protest against the infamous division of the Nigerian police force, SARS.

The two singers, alongside other Nigerians and popular influencers convened at the Lekki toll gate, with banners having inscriptions that speaks against SARS officials.

As at the time of filing this report, the two singers alongside other Nigerians have begun marching the streets of Lagos chanting their demand to #EndSARS.

They will be matching to the office of the Assistant inspector general of Police to tender a petition on the disbandment of the unit division.

This comes after the inspector general of Police announced the ban of SARS’ operations on Sunday. More details as it unfolds.

Recall days ago Douglas Agu better referred to as Runtown  promised to lead a protest to end Sars in Nigeria.

Runtown to lead #EndSARS protest

With the continued outrage on Twitter over Sars brutality and further judicial killings, Runtown has spoken against the issue and also promised to lead a protest.

In his tweets, Runtown announced that on October 8, he would lead the end Sars protest and it would start from Lekki Phase 1, Toll Gate at 10AM prompt. He has also called on interested parties to turn up for the planned protest.

Aside Runtown, different Nigerian musicians and celebrities are speaking up against Sars, urging the government to end the police unit.

Popular Nigerian rapper, Falz revealed that he would be joining fellow singer Runtown on the #EndSARS protest set to hold in Lagos on Thursday October 8th,being today.

Falz to join #EndSARS protest

According to the singer, he’s not backing down on the protest but ready to take the forefront alongside Runtown to place an end to police brutality within the country.

He further stated that Nigerians have put up with this menace for too long, and it’s time to speak up to prevent further damages.

Taking to Twitter he wrote,

” will be at the peaceful #EndSARS protest taking place on Thursday Oct 8 by 10AM. We take off from Lekki Phase 1 toll gate! cc @iRuntown We MUST be heard!!! Thursday is Thursday #ENDSARS”

“No going back, no backing down. we have put up with this menace for too long. Young innocent lives are being cut short too often. so much harassment, so much extortion. It’s time to #ENDSARS for good.”
