Nigerian Man identified as Ifioque has taken to a Facebook group named YorochiTv Facebook Community to narrate how he bagged her international job without wearing clothes during the Zoom meeting that landed him the job.
Ifioque wrote ;
Yesterday, I had a job interview with a US-based agency, and I showed up to the Zoom meeting without a shirt on.
I shouldn’t have, but I was convinced that if they were looking for real skills, hardcore experience and function, they’d hire me.
I got the job and signed the contract today!
After working for about 5-7 organizations outside Africa on long-term and short-term contracts, one thing that has happened to me is that NO kind of interview intimidates me further!
This is why I continually overemphasize on balls.
Recently, I almost got into a Nigerian agency.
A tech company in Lagos that I don’t want to mention here invited me for a pre-employment interview — I mentioned the name on my Whatsapp status this morning.
While having the interview, I asked the CEO,
“What is the size of your company’s workforce?”
He replied, “About 80 employees.”
Then he asked sharply,
“Are you supposed to ask me that?”
In that moment, I realized it was going to be a sheeet-show from the start. Like, are you saying I’m not supposed to know how many people work in the company you’re hiring me into?
Next, he asked how much I wanted to be paid.
“I’ve researched yada yada yaha … I would humbly take 312,000.”
He paused, wrote it down, and replied,
“Do you think that’s fair for just copywriting?”
That was my final cue.
It was clear that he was (1) underpaying and, (2) a little toxic.
I told him,
“I can share a document with you containing ALL my employment contracts from the first one, and you can see the very least contract I have done. By 312 grand, this is me being reasonable since it’s Nigeria here!”
We ended the call shortly afterward.
So yeah, that was the first contract yesterday, from the US, gotten without shirts on.
While I was writing this post this morning — the one you’re reading now — a vendor contract came in from KompleteCare a software company in Lagos State that is hiring me as a Vendor Copywriter for their new amazing app which links patients to doctors without them having to queue up at hospitals.
One of my students in The Copywriter’s Warehouse is employed with them, and she does amazing work there, so when they needed a Copywriter to overhaul their copy game, naturally, she recommended me, her mentor.
KompleteCare ®️ is a revolutionary innovation and I’m excited to join them as a Vendor Copywriter — one of my few Nigerian jobs in a very long time.
To anyone who might want to listen, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND you sit in and painstakingly perfect your craft before heading out here to the playing field.

If you solve rare problems, or common problems with rare methods, people will pay you well for that sheeet.
I’m genuinely convinced that I am on the path of a high-value individual — and this is just a statement of fact, not a boast.
I have friends and distant acquaintances even on this app who are high-value individuals.
We’re not rich yet — there’s a difference — but all these people and more that I know are really high-value men.
We are solving rare problems, or solving common problems with rare skill levels!
I and Evan Promise spoke about this some months ago.
We could relocate to a new state tonight with NOTHING other than our bags! Just give us a bed, some money for cheap food, a phone, a laptop, and an unlimited internet connection.
And we’d have earned in excess of a thousand dollars by November/December of this same year!
Not to brag at all.
I landed in Morocco for a short vacation with my luggage, laptop, a MiFi router, and just 230 grand, total (in Naira) in December.
6 weeks later, I casually left with a million +
Note: That was my FIRST time in the country.
It’s not even a special achievement, and some in-demand creatives can confirm this.
I’m genuinely happy leading others to do the same in my niche or in their chosen niches.
If you can solve rare problems, or you solve common problems with rare methods, you’ll be a high-value, in-demand person.
Ultimately, this path will lead you to sufficiency.
People will pay for that sheeet
Aim so high that someday, there is nothing higher.
Save this to your folder: “Hacks from ifioque.”
Congratulations to me for bagging 2 contracts under 30 hours!
As you were 🖤
