The governor of Benue state, Samuel Ortom, who confirmed this to newsmen yesterday March 28th, stated the index case is a lady, Susan Okpe, who recently came from the UK. He said she is currently under process treatment.
The governor stated the identity of the patient to be disclosed so that every body who would possibly have had any contact with her for the past two weeks, need to come ahead for checkup and isolation. He appealed to residents of the state not to stigmatise the patient,rather guide her and all people who can also have had close contact with her.
