Endemol was a Dutch-based media company that produced and distributed multiplatform entertainment content. it was founded by Joop van den Ende and John de Mol in 1994 ,approximately 26 years ago. the company annually produced over 15,000 hours of programming across scripted and non-scripted genres, including drama, reality TV, comedy, game shows, entertainment, factual and children’s programming. It went into defunct in 2015 except Portugal in 2015 ,approximately 5 years ago after it merged with Shine Group owned by Banijay and was renamed to Endemol Shine Group.
